“Woody” Agudu has leveraged a distinguished career in telecom engineering into the growing services and software business known as Eneri Communications. Throughout his career he has helped to build some of the world’s most technologically advanced networks, honing his expertise in SONET Fiber Optical Switching Transport Networks, RF Wireless technology, TCP/IP routing-switching and currently in Cloud Computing Technology. Mr. Agudu founded Eneri Communications in 1999, a Telecom, IT & Software services company. In 2003 Mr. Agudu conceived a BPO business plan based on years of market and technology research and founded ICG, a Ghana (West Africa) based Business Process Outsourcing company intended to provide one of the first purely offshore BPO facilities in West Africa. The plan offered the first of its kind BPO infrastructure in the region. Mr. Agudu subsequently sold out of the business to his business partner prior to launch in 2004. Earlier in his career, Mr. Agudu worked in technical sales for Network Access Solutions, where he designed and sold custom data network applications for his customers. Prior to NAS, he worked for XO Communications (Verizon) as an engineering manager, setting direction and strategy, and commanding $10M+ engineering budget. He earned awards for significant contributions to EBITDA by playing a key role in conceiving, designing and implementing XO’s first ever DWDM long-haul optical fiber network. Before joining XO, Mr. Agudu served as an integral member of Sprint PCS’s Engineering and Operations team that launched the nation’s first ever CDMA wireless network. He has held consulting engagements with Comcast, AT&T, Verizon & Sprint. Mr. Agudu graduated from Drexel University’s Electrical and Computer Engineering program. Mr. Agudu is a Senior Member of the Institute for Electrical & Electronic Engineers (IEEE). He is actively involved in Drexel’s Alumni association and was awarded Drexel’s prestigious Alumnus Leadership Award in 2004. He is a member of the Big Brothers/Big Sisters chapter and The Urban League of Philadelphia.
